Vecinos Privacy Policy

Who we are
Vecinos (vecinos.ai) is operated by NOTICIA DOO (Черногория / Montenegro), the controller of your data. Contact: privacy@vecinos.ai.
Key points
- The neighbours are AI characters, not people. Your speech is transcribed and voiced by AI services.
- We do not store your voice recordings: audio is sent for transcription and deleted; a temporary buffer of a few minutes may be used for a technical retry.
- Only if you turn on “Help improve recognition” in your profile (off by default) we keep your utterances for 30 days with their transcripts and the corrections shown, to check quality. You can withdraw consent at any time; recordings are then deleted.
- Logs contain no audio, no full conversations, no login codes and no keys.

We never store sensitive information (health, religion, politics, documents/immigration status, finances) in long-term memory, and do not extract biographical facts from role-play.

Weather and forecast, sunrise and sunset in the neighbours' scenes: data from MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, api.met.no, CC BY 4.0). Severe weather warnings: Fuente: AEMET (Agencia Estatal de Meteorología, aemet.es, CC BY 4.0). None of your data is sent to them: the server asks for the weather at the centre of your city (not your location) and for the common warning feed of Spain; AEMET warnings are shown only in Spain.
Approximate city from the IP address. If you have not named your city, at the start of a talk the server finds an approximate city from your IP address: the city only, no exact coordinates, no request for the phone's location. It is done on our server with a local "IP to City Lite" table (IP Geolocation by DB-IP, CC BY 4.0): the IP address is not sent anywhere and is not stored for this. The result is checked against the phone's time zone; if the city is not reliable (for example a VPN, or an IP outside Spain), there is no weather at all in the scene or in the talk. You can correct the city in the profile with one tap. The time of day and the light in the scene follow your phone's clock.
Your rights
In your profile you can view and delete the neighbours’ memory, delete your conversation history (including derived summaries and difficulties) and delete your account in one tap. Account deletion is executed within 24 hours; payment records are kept as required by law. If we restore from a backup, deletions are re-applied. For access, rectification, portability or objection write to privacy@vecinos.ai. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
